OpenSpace
Have you ever wondered what exists beyond our solar system? With the software OpenSpace, developed by Linköping University and here at the Visualization Center, you can explore the entire known universe. Using OpenSpace is like playing a video game—with the key difference that everything you see is based on real data! You’re looking at the same content that space researchers use. Sounds exciting, right? With OpenSpace, you can travel anywhere in space. Why not try navigating to Mars or exploring new worlds, exoplanets, and galaxies?

TinkerCad
Do you enjoy computer games and want to try creating your own 3D worlds?

Build a house, a machine, or why not your very own space base? Try out the basics of how a three-dimensional game is created! Some prior computer experience is helpful, but not required—you can also learn on site.

Data Bracelet
Can you create a real bracelet out of data? The answer is YES—and it’s easier than you think! Data isn’t just numbers and charts—data is information. Every day, each person generates large amounts of new information through their choices. This information, if collected or processed, can be transformed into data. By reflecting on the data you create, you’ll have the opportunity to design a personal bracelet where each bead represents something important to you—your data. What will your bracelet look like?
