Join us on a journey far, far away
Humans have launched incredible spacecraft into space! Telescopes, satellites, and space stations all help us uncover new mysteries of the universe. Join us as we travel through Earth’s atmosphere and beyond to explore the technology that makes space exploration possible.
A Quarter in Space
Using the visualization software OpenSpace, we can travel anywhere in the known universe. In A Quarter Hour in Space, we invite you on a short but exciting journey through space, where you’ll learn more about humanity’s exploration of the cosmos.
OpenSpace was developed by Visualization Center researchers in collaboration with NASA and the American Museum of Natural History. Using real-time data and scientific facts about astronomy and space, it visualizes the entire known universe.
